They are all specialists of cystic fibrosis disease in their own country , in Europe and /or worldwide
To hasten Meveol program, those experts from the United Kingdom, Belgium and France advise Alaxia for further complementary research and development.
 

 
 
Pr Gabriel  BELLON  is in charge of one of the two French Cystic Fibrosis Reference Center, located in Lyon. It belongs to the “Hospices Civils de Lyon” Institution (HCL) grouping a total 17 hospitals. HCL is in France the second biggest University Medical Center.
Almost 10% of the French CF Population is followed up in the Lyon CF Reference Center.
 
Gabriel has founded and is the Chairman of the French CF Society (SFM) which gathers together more than 500 CF specialists (physicians, nurses, dieteticians, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, microbiologists,...) working in the 49 French CF care centers. Pr Bellon is a member of a working group entitled “Development of a National CF registry” at the French Ministry of Health.
He has been the principal investigator of the two unique CF gene therapy trials in France in the mid 90’s and he’s carried out numerous national and international clinical surveys.

Patrice has worked for many years on the evaluation and the improvement of  aerosol materials, to get the highest efficacy of the inhaled drugs.
Patrice is also member of the GAT (Groupe d'aérosol therapie) from the French society of Pneumology (www.splf.org).
Many publications available on pubmed.
With Bertrand dautzenberg, Patric Diot is the author,of the reference book "L'aérosolthérapie par nébulisation".

Pr Lieven Dupont is a skilled pneumologist working at University Hospital Gasthuisberg, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (BE). Pr Dupont is especially working on COPD and Cystic Fibrosis.

Plenary Speaker at European Respiratory Society, North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference, American Thoracic Society, British Thoracic Society, European CF Conference.
As leader of the Cystic Fibrosis Group, his research focus is CF and the development of biomarkers for clinical trials. With a particular interest in the impact of chronic infection in patients with bronchiectasis, particularly those with cystic fibrosis (CF).  This involves research investigating the relationship between the CF gene defect and infection especially with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Burkholderia cepacia complex and most recently anerobes.  This research is focused on the prevention of injury associated with chronic infection and improving patient outcome.  This knowledge has been applied in clinical trials to improve patient outcomes, as a PI on a number of clinical trials.
